According to Imanaliev, preparations are currently underway for the land plot for future construction, after which the project will be presented for consideration to the Cabinet of Ministers. "After the completion of the new administrative building last year, the city education department was relocated here, and the music school moved to another facility. The existing buildings of these institutions, located at the intersection of J. Bakiev and Erkindik streets, have fallen into a state of disrepair. The competition for their demolition was won by private individuals for 149,000 soms, and the dismantling process is currently underway," he noted.
A multifunctional cultural center will be built on a 20-acre plot. There are virtually no coworking centers and specialized leisure spaces for youth in Manas, and there is also no library, so the project includes the creation of a modern reading room. "At the moment, we do not have our own funds for construction, but as soon as the plot is fully prepared, we will send the project proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers," the deputy mayor added.
The buildings of the city education department and the music school were constructed in the 1960s. In 2008, the Ministry of Emergency Situations declared these facilities to be in a state of emergency.
