The First Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan has resigned

Today it became known that Aibek Matkerimov, who holds the position of First Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, has decided to resign. Corresponding reports have come from various media outlets citing their sources.

According to the information available at the moment, he said goodbye to his colleagues this morning and announced his intention to resign voluntarily.

It should be noted that no official order regarding his resignation has been received.

Aibek Matkerimov was appointed to his position in December 2025, along with Ryspek Sydygaliev, who, by the way, was detained today by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

Aibek Matkerimov was born on November 8, 1980. He is a graduate of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after Iisa Akhunbaev, as well as the International University named after Kantoro Toktomamatov and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA), where he obtained a master's degree in public administration for executives. Previously, Matkerimov also served as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the VII convocation and was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz Republic.
