Deputies elected Marlene Mamataliyeva as the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh. Her candidacy was supported by 77 votes, five were against, one ballot was declared invalid, and four more were annulled due to damage.

It is worth noting that Marlene Mamataliyeva was the only candidate for this position.

Marlene Mamataliyeva: Biography


Marlene Mamataliyeva was born on March 24, 1981, in Bishkek. She graduated from the Kyrgyz Technical University named after I. Razakov with a degree in information technology, as well as from the Kyrgyz Economic University, where she studied finance and credit. Additionally, she underwent training at the Civil Service College in Singapore under the program "Human Resource Management in Public Service." Marlene also completed her education at the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, obtaining a qualification in law, and at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, where she studied public administration.

From 2003 to 2006, she worked at the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, and then at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

From 2007 to 2008, she held positions as assistant to the Minister of Finance and Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2009, she became an advisor to the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.

From 2010 to 2011, she headed the secretariat of the parliamentary faction "Ar-Namys" in the Jogorku Kenesh, and then from 2011 to 2012, she worked as a state secretary and head of the department in the Ministry of Economic Regulation. In 2012, she led the department of the real sector at the Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

From 2013 to 2018, Marlene Mamataliyeva worked in the private sector, notably as the general director of the Asia Mall shopping and entertainment center.

Since 2021, she has been a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the VII convocation, serving as the leader of the parliamentary faction "Yntymak" and heading the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy. In 2025, she was elected as a deputy of the VIII convocation from single-mandate electoral district No. 22 (First May district of Bishkek), finishing second in the number of votes. By the results of the work of the Jogorku Kenesh of the VII convocation, she topped the ranking for the number of initiated and adopted laws.
