On February 23, at the phytosanitary control post "Kyzyl-Kiya," which operates under the management of the Batken Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, it was recorded that 28,762 seedlings received from Uzbekistan lacked the necessary labeling on the packaging.

According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated November 30, 2016, No. 157, each package of quarantine products must contain labeling indicating the name of the product, the country of origin, as well as information about the exporting and/or re-exporting state.

The absence of labeling on quarantine cargo is a violation of the unified quarantine phytosanitary standards in effect within the Eurasian Economic Union. In this regard, these seedlings were returned to the country of import.
