Audit of the Ministry of Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Reveals Financial Violations Amounting to 36.5 Million Som

The Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic has discovered significant deficiencies in financial accounting and the process of allocating state benefits for 2024.
The audit conducted by the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic concerned the execution of the budget of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration for 2024, including its structural divisions. The timeframe of the audit covered the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024, and the aim was to assess compliance with legislation in the use of budgetary funds, financial discipline, and the accuracy of accounting.

As a result of the audit, financial violations and deficiencies were identified, indicating non-compliance with a number of existing norms and regulations. The total amount of identified violations amounted to 36 million 560.3 thousand soms, of which 11 million 225.4 thousand soms relate to accounting errors. During the audit, it was possible to recover 2 million 12.4 thousand soms due to measures taken to eliminate the violations.

The audit revealed that accounting rules were not followed, there were violations in the accounting of fixed assets, and instances where certain material values were not reflected in the accounting balance. Violations were also identified in the process of allocating and paying state benefits, as well as facts of misappropriation of budgetary funds. During the audit, appropriate corrections were made to the accounting records to rectify the identified deficiencies.

As a result of the audit, recommendations were sent to improve financial discipline and enhance the efficiency of budgetary fund usage.
