The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported the detention of law enforcement officers involved in the sexual exploitation of a minor.
During the investigation, facts of unlawful actions by some employees of the Uzgen District Department of Internal Affairs of the Osh region were uncovered.
The investigation established that a police captain, working as a senior district inspector in Uzgen, "Z.u.A.", in collaboration with juvenile inspectors "N.A.N." and "A.u.A.", organized a criminal scheme. Their actions involved extorting money by involving a minor "T.A.U.", born in 2008, in sexual activities with potential buyers according to a pre-agreed scheme. The law enforcement officers introduced the girl to wealthy men, then carried out fictitious arrests and demanded money under the pressure of blackmail.
In connection with these events, the investigative department of the GKNB KR for the city of Osh and the Osh region initiated a criminal case. On February 4 of this year, together with the Internal Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the mentioned employees of the Uzgen ROVD were detained, and in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the KR, they were placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
During the investigative activities, confessions from the detainees were obtained, and additional facts of "setups" by the involved law enforcement officers and civilians were revealed. It is particularly alarming that among those detained were juvenile inspectors, whose duties include protecting children's rights and preventing offenses.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, aimed at thoroughly documenting the unlawful actions of these law enforcement officers.
