They are accused of extortion
In the Osh region, law enforcement agencies have detained investigators from the Kara-Suu and Aravan Districts on suspicion of extortion. This was reported by the press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
The investigation revealed that police captain "O.G.O." from the village of Nariman in the Kara-Suu District extorted 3,000 US dollars, using his official position. He demanded money from "K.u.O.", regarding whom the investigator already had a refusal material on a fraud case registered in December 2024.
The intermediary in this scheme was the investigator from the Aravan District police, police captain "S.N.S.".
During an operation conducted jointly with the SVR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, "O.G.O." and "S.N.S." were detained while receiving 1,600 dollars. They are currently in a temporary detention facility.
