
This decision is aimed at ensuring the food security of the country.
The Cabinet has decided to temporarily ban the export of agricultural animals, including cattle, sheep, goats, and horses, outside of Kyrgyzstan. The government press service reported this.
This decree was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The ban will be in effect for six months and will affect the export of the specified animals, with the exception of the following cases:
– transit through the territory of the country;
– export of sports horses for participation in competitions;
– gifting of horses to foreign states, international organizations, or private individuals;
– export of live cattle through the state operator — the open joint-stock company "Kyrgyz Agrohholding," except for animals raised in the Kyrgyz Republic;
– export of horses by air transport.
As noted in the message, this decision has been made to ensure food security and stabilize prices for food products in the market.
