During a meeting of the committee dealing with issues of science, education, innovative development, as well as culture, sports, and youth affairs, deputies discussed a draft law concerning the ratification of an intergovernmental agreement on the allocation of a land plot for the construction of the campus of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

The draft law was presented by the Deputy Minister of Education and Innovations Bekbosun Borubashev. He noted that the government allocated approximately 30 hectares of land in the Baytik rural district for the implementation of the KRSU campus project. In addition, the Kyrgyz side will take responsibility for resolving issues related to land and various engineering aspects.

Russia, for its part, has committed to fully finance the construction of the campus and the erection of all necessary buildings for the educational process.

Thus, the land plot will be transferred for indefinite use to the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
