On March 17, an event was held in the village of Bospiek, located near the city of Kerben in the Aksy district, in memory of the tragic events of 2002, which took place at the memorial complex "Sheiit-Mazar."

Representatives of the presidential representative office in the Jalal-Abad region, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, and employees of the state administration of the Aksy district attended the event. Among the participants were relatives of the deceased and those who directly faced the events of that tragedy.

Tilek Tekebaev, the presidential representative in the region, noted that the Aksy events are an important turning point in the modern history of Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that this tragedy is a vivid example of the value of national unity, peaceful coexistence, and the rule of law in the process of strengthening statehood.

During the memorial action, participants laid flowers at the monument erected in honor of the fallen heroes, after which a memorial prayer was held.

As a result of the clashes that occurred on March 16-17, 2002, in the Aksy district, six people were killed, and another 28 were injured to varying degrees.

This year, by the order of the presidential representative, financial support was allocated from the reserve fund to the families of the deceased and those affected during those events.
