In Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, a major eco-event dedicated to the holiday of Nowruz will take place. The public organization "Resource Center for the Elderly," as part of its initiatives "Zhashyl Konushtar" and "Araket," with the support of MTU No. 109, is organizing the "Sumölök Fest" festival. The event is scheduled for March 21 and will begin at 10:30 at the new sports ground in the Ak-Ordo residential area, located at the corner of Gagarin and Imanaliev streets. The main goal of the festival is to unite efforts to protect the environment, revive national customs, and strengthen good neighborly relations.
The festival includes both ecological and cultural elements. A key event will be an eco-cleanup, where participants will be able to clean public areas and prepare them for the spring season. At the same time, a themed fair will take place on the site, where residents can purchase seedlings for greening their homes. A charitable exchange is also planned: anyone can bring clean items, clothing, or books to donate to those in need or to exchange, as well as make voluntary donations.
After the completion of the beautification work, guests will be treated to a traditional dish — sümölök, the main spring dish. To create a festive atmosphere, exciting national games will be organized, in which both children and adults can participate. The organizers invite everyone, residents and guests of the capital, to join the celebration, bring good spirits and items for exchange, to together make the city cleaner and life in the new buildings brighter and more comfortable.
