In the new story of the "Zhubaïlar" column, we learn about Kyrgyz Ilyaz and his wife Evgenia from Russia.

“My name is Evgenia Djabaeva, but close friends call me just Zhenya, and this version is much closer to me,” she shares.

Evgenia, born in 1993 in picturesque Karakol, graduated from Chekhov School No. 6 and soon began her career. Ultimately, she found her calling in the beauty industry, currently engaged in eyelash lamination and eyebrow shaping. “It brings me not only income but also pleasure,” she added.

Her husband Ilyaz is also a native of Karakol and is now 36 years old.

“We continue to live here without thinking about moving, as we love our city for its calm atmosphere and the beauty of nature. Our story began quite unexpectedly — on a football field, where I loved to play with friends on weekends,” she recalls.

Evgenia has a dream of having an older brother, and when she first met Ilyaz, she thought, “How wonderful it would be to have such an older brother.” However, fate had other plans: first, they became friends, and then their relationship grew into something more.

Djabaeva noted that the confession of love happened very simply and sincerely. Ilyaz came and directly expressed his feelings, which, according to her, touched her deeply. She also had feelings, although she didn’t realize them right away.

“Our relationship developed naturally. At some point, we both understood that we wanted to go through life together — to build a family and support each other,” she said.

The couple's wedding took place in 2013 in Karakol. “My parents worried about me, like any other parents would, but over time, after getting to know Ilyaz and his attitude towards me, they calmed down. Now we have a warm relationship,” Evgenia noted.

Ilyaz's mother supported their union from the very beginning, stating that the main thing is the true love of the children.

Evgenia shared that she is lucky in family life, as Ilyaz is always there and supports her. “He helps and advises, as he was taught from childhood to respect women and be a pillar for the family,” she added.

Evgenia also appreciates Kyrgyz culture, including respect for elders and sincere hospitality. “Here, guests are always welcomed with warmth and care,” she emphasized.

In the kitchen, she loves to experiment, while Ilyaz prefers traditional cuisine. “Earlier, he politely said that everything was delicious, but later, when I offered it again, he honestly replied, ‘Maybe it’s not worth it...’. Now we just laugh about it,” Evgenia recounted.

The couple loves to spend time in nature, enjoying the mountains and Lake Issyk-Kul, which has become a place of strength for them, where they can relax and recharge.

In the future, Evgenia plans to develop her blog, sharing her perspective on life and beauty, and dreams of traveling and discovering new places. But their home is the cozy Karakol, which they both love.

“Ilyaz has an interesting background: he has Kalmyk roots from his mother and Dungan roots from his father. This combination of cultures makes our family even more unique,” Zhenya concluded.
