The plot of the film tells the story of a man's fate during the Great Patriotic War. After the war, they settle in the village of Rosenberg in Germany. After 43 years, he receives a message stating that he has been declared a traitor and that no one is waiting for him in his homeland. This news becomes a spiritual blow for him, and later it turns out that it was fabricated by the KGB.
