Over 30 pawnshops closed for violating legislation
During inspections conducted in the city of Osh and its surroundings, the activities of pawnshops were evaluated. This information was received from the press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
These activities were a result of an order issued by the chairman of the SCNS, Kamchybek Tashiev.
Representatives from the SCNS, Financial Supervision, and the State Tax Service (STS) participated in the raids.
Instances were identified where interest rates at pawnshops exceeded the legally established norms, for which administrative fines were imposed.
In addition, more than 30 pawnshops were sealed, and additional inspections were scheduled, the results of which will lead to a legal assessment.
The SCNS also noted that work is currently underway to identify individuals engaged in illegal lending activities, who provide money to the population on unacceptable terms and appropriate pledged property, extracting significant profits from this.
