
By order of Kamchybek Tashiev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the GKNB, inspections of pawnshops have begun in Osh.
According to the agency, inspections of the activities of pawnshops operating in the city of Osh and its surroundings are being conducted jointly with the Southern Territorial Administration of the Financial Supervision Service and the State Tax Service.
As a result of the conducted activities, cases of excessive interest rates above the maximum allowable values established by law were identified. In this regard, the authorized bodies have already applied administrative measures.
In addition, more than 30 pawnshops have been sealed, and subsequent inspections have been scheduled. The results of these inspections will form the basis for a legal assessment of the functioning of these organizations.
The GKNB is also conducting operational investigative actions to identify individuals engaged in usurious activities. According to the agency, such individuals provide loans to the population on terms that are impossible to fulfill, appropriate pledged property, and generate significant income.
