Bloggers apologized in a video, examinations have been appointed
The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a group of bloggers who published a video mocking the Kyrgyz language. This information was provided by the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department.
It became known that a video appeared on social media, which caused a wide public outcry. The video material, containing negative comments about the Kyrgyz language, was registered in the automated information system (AIS) of the Bishkek City Police Department, which led to the initiation of a preliminary investigation.
Operational-search activities conducted by the employees of the Special Purpose Police Unit (SPENM) of the City Police Department and GKNB allowed for the identification of the individuals captured in the video. They turned out to be three citizens born in 1991: T.K., S.S., and M.M. After their detention, they were handed over to the Investigative Service of the City Police Department.
Currently, in order to determine the legal assessment of their actions, examinations have been appointed, and verification activities are ongoing. The results of these actions will serve as the basis for making a decision in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
