Does the factory on the sanitary landfill in Bishkek harm the ecology? Checked by the Ministry of Natural Resources

On January 19, 2026, specialists from the Department of Environmental Monitoring conducted sampling of industrial emissions at the waste processing plant located on the territory of the municipal sanitary landfill in Bishkek. This became known from a statement by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The main goal of this study is to analyze the impact of the enterprise on the environmental situation in the region.
During the monitoring, laboratory tests are conducted on indicators such as nitrogen oxide, sulfur oxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and suspended particles (dust).
Additionally, on January 16, 2026, a comprehensive monitoring was carried out in the area adjacent to the plant: additional samples of atmospheric air, soil, and water from the Ala-Archa reservoir were collected.
To prevent potential negative impacts on the ecological environment, regular monitoring is planned to be conducted every month.
