
The General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB) has found that in 2015, the Bishkek city administration was allocated 22 million euros from a lending organization for the implementation of this project. These funds were intended for updating the material and technical base, purchasing equipment, including bulldozers, garbage trucks, and containers, as well as for designing a new landfill for MP "Tazalyk" and the "Bishkek Sanitary Landfill".
According to preliminary data from the audit of state procurement, the damage caused to the budget from the use of these funds amounts to approximately 182 million soms.
On January 12, 2025, based on the initiated criminal case under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan (corruption), investigative activities were conducted, resulting in the detention of former Vice Mayor of Bishkek "S.R.A.", former director of MP "Bishkek Sanitary Landfill" "A.A.Z.", as well as the heads of contracting companies "I.V.R." and "A.N.B.". All of them were placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB KR.




Currently, GKNB employees continue to conduct investigative activities to identify all officials involved in the case, as well as to clarify the final amount of damage caused to the budget.
