It has been reported that both defendants were detained as part of a criminal case initiated by the GKNB in December 2024 under Article 337 "Abuse of Official Position" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. These crimes were committed before amendments were made to the criminal legislation, allowing the court to apply the old version of the code, which provides for a penalty in the form of a fine upon admission of guilt and conclusion of a procedural agreement.
During the investigation, A. A. K. and other defendants fully admitted their guilt and compensated the state for material damage amounting to 4 billion 307 million soms.It should also be noted that the confessions of the defendants contributed to the uncovering of a corruption scheme in the tax service, in which employees of the Central Audit Department of the GNS and other officials participated. This not only helped achieve the tax and insurance contribution collection plan for 2025 but also exceeded revenues by 40 billion soms.
Investigative actions regarding other defendants are ongoing, and information about the results of the investigation will be provided later.
