The investigation established that these officials demanded amounts ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 soms from drivers for allowing vehicles that exceeded the permissible weight limits to pass without documenting the violations. On average, between 150 and 200 trucks passed through these checkpoints daily.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the detainees under Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning "Abuse of Official Position." During the operational activities, the following individuals were detained: A.Z. (born 1991), S.U. (born 1981), A.A. (born 1998), A.R. (born 1994), M.M. (born 1979), T.T. (born 1973), and A.B. (born 1994). A preventive measure in the form of arrest has been chosen for them.
