
It was revealed that officials regularly took bribes from drivers, ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 soms, for allowing trucks exceeding the permissible weight to pass without registering violations. According to preliminary data, between 150 and 200 trucks passed through these posts daily.

In connection with this fact, the investigative authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 337 "Abuse of Office" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. During operational activities, employees of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained several employees of the weight and dimension post while receiving bribes. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for those detained — A.Z. (born in 1991), S.U. (born in 1981), A.A. (born in 1998), A.R. (born in 1994), M.M. (born in 1979), T.T. (born in 1973), and A.B. (born in 1994).
