According to calculations by the Ministry of Health, the price increase will range from 35% to 50%
In Kyrgyzstan, an increase in prices for medical services provided in state medical institutions is expected. This is due to the fact that 20 state healthcare organizations will receive broader powers. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has presented the corresponding draft law for public discussion.
The Ministry of Health noted that state hospitals are currently experiencing a lack of financial and managerial independence, which puts them at a disadvantage compared to private clinics. In particular, the cost of medical services in state institutions is 2-3 times lower than in the private sector.
According to preliminary data, the price increase for services in state hospitals will be from 35% to 50%. The methodology for calculating new tariffs, taking into account social needs, will be developed jointly by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the Ministry of Health.
