Deputy expressed the opinion on the need to limit educational payments
At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development held the day before, Deputy Kamila Talieva raised the issue of the need to review the prices for contract education in universities.
She noted that over the past two years, tuition fees have significantly increased, and parents of students have begun to actively approach deputies with complaints about this.
“Some rectors set exorbitant prices while enjoying vacations abroad, financing their trips with students' funds,” Talieva emphasized.
According to data from the State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation, after the removal of state control over tuition costs, there has been a sharp increase, with fees doubling in some universities.
