The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic named after J. Abdrakhmanov commented on the directive from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

At a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development, held on January 27, the Director of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation, Zhenaly Orozbaev, reported that the University named after Jusup Abdrakhmanov (AGUPKR) is required to return 13 million soms to its students.

In its statement, the academy clarified that this directive pertains to undergraduate graduates who studied at the institution from 2020 to 2024.

“During the specified period, no complaints regarding the quality of education were received from students. The academy fully fulfilled its obligations for organizing the educational process, and all students who successfully completed their studies received state diplomas,” the university's message emphasizes.

The academy also noted that since 2014, the cost of contract education for undergraduate students has remained at 46,000 soms per year.

“This amount will not change for students enrolled in these programs, despite the decision to cease enrollment for the undergraduate program in 2025. The academy adheres to the principles of social responsibility and does not plan to raise tuition fees for the remaining students,” AGUPKR added.
