Visa Situation
When transferring to the new educational institution, the students faced unexpected difficulties: their student visas were revoked. "We were forced to leave Kyrgyzstan and return to Bangladesh, and now we cannot continue our studies as we have not received new invitations or visas, despite our high academic performance," they shared.According to them, the prolonged absence from the educational process could negatively affect their education and their families' financial situation, as well as cause serious stress. "We complied with all necessary requirements, yet we find ourselves in a difficult visa situation that arose in August. We had not encountered such problems in the two years of studying in Kyrgyzstan," the students added.
They expressed hope that the administration of the International European University would assist in resolving the issue so that they could return and continue their studies.
Opinion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kaktus.media was informed that according to Kyrgyz legislation, the issuance and extension of a student visa is carried out exclusively at the request of the educational institution that invited the foreign student.According to the Law "On External Migration," if a foreign student ceases their studies, including due to transferring to another university, the previously issued visa must be canceled.
After the student departs, the educational organization where they studied must send a request for visa cancellation.
Only after this procedure is completed can an application be submitted for a new visa based on an invitation from another educational institution.
Response from the IEU
