From January 15 to February 15, it is possible to exchange indefinite driver's licenses for free in Kyrgyzstan. This decision was announced by Kanaybek Tumanbaev, the head of the president's office.
Previously, indefinite driver's licenses were canceled, and now new licenses are issued for a period of 10 years, which requires renewal for all holders of indefinite licenses.
The exchange applies to licenses issued between 2009 and 2012.
Drivers are also facing issues when obtaining a medical certificate in the form of 083. The Ministry of Health emphasizes that all requests are being processed in a standard manner, and medical personnel do not refuse anyone assistance.
The state institution "Unaa" clarified that the free exchange is available only for holders of old indefinite licenses.
If a citizen fails to complete the exchange within the specified period, they will be able to do so later, but for a fee. Specific deadlines for paid exchanges have not been established.
A person can apply at any time during the year, and the exchange will be conducted at the established rate of 779 soms. Other categories of citizens are served in the usual manner.
