According to Bekeshev, young citizens of Kyrgyzstan will be forced to seek alternative options for education abroad, particularly in Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan.

Under the new regulations, the process of obtaining a category B driver's license will now take 10 months, and for category C — 12 months, including both theoretical and practical training.

The deputy expressed concern about this, noting that such a long period could lead to undesirable consequences.

“Young people report that this is too long. In other countries, it takes only three months to obtain a license. If we continue training for 10-12 months, many of them will prefer to go study in neighboring countries. As a result, we are creating tourist appeal for these states,” emphasized Bekeshev.

Tynchbek Saidov, the director of the State Center for Driver's License Registration, noted that the new standards were approved by the Ministry of Education.

“The Ministry of Education previously approved new requirements for training for categories B and C licenses. It is stipulated that obtaining a category B license will take 10 months, and for category C — 12 months. A curriculum is currently being developed, which will determine the number of theoretical and practical classes,” he reported.

Dastan Bekeshev added that such changes could lead to an increase in youth unemployment. “This is an incorrect decision. We see that unemployment among young people will rise, and soon they may express their dissatisfaction,” concluded the deputy.
