At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development, held on January 26, the head of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, Jenaly Orozbaev, reported that "the Abdrahmanov University [Academy of Public Administration under the President] has been instructed to return 13 million soms to the students."

The AGUPKR noted that the full official name of the educational institution according to the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic is the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Jusup Abdrahmanov.

Furthermore, the academy stated that the refund pertains to graduates of the bachelor's program who studied at the institution from 2020 to 2024.

In its comment, the academy emphasized that during the specified period, no complaints about the quality of education were received from students. "AGUPKR fully fulfilled its obligations regarding the organization of the educational process, and students who successfully completed their studies received state-recognized diplomas," the statement said.

It is also highlighted that since 2014, the cost of contract education for bachelor's students has remained fixed at 46,000 soms per year.

"This amount will not change for students enrolled in these programs, due to the decision to close and cease enrollment for the bachelor's program, made in 2025. The academy adheres to social responsibility and does not plan to raise tuition fees for the remaining students," the comment added.
