“Working all your life, it’s unlikely you can save up for housing”
Recently, in the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Meder Aliyev stated that apartment prices in Bishkek have reached the level of those in Moscow.
He noted that while the rise in real estate prices is a global trend, the cost of housing in Bishkek is increasing so rapidly that it has already surpassed cities like Istanbul and Madrid.
According to the deputy, “Previously, one could go to Russia, work for six months, and return with money to buy an apartment. Now, however, migrants, even working their whole lives, are unlikely to be able to save for their own housing,” he expressed his dissatisfaction.
In response to his remarks, the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev recommended that those who wish to purchase housing contact the GIK, where various options are offered, including financing based on Islamic principles.
