Today, February 10, it became known that, based on Article 70 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov removed Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Chairman of the State National Security Committee and Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers. He has been replaced by Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, who previously held the position of Deputy Chairman of the State National Security Committee. The president's press secretary, Askhat Alagozov, explained this decision as a step aimed at preventing a split in society and strengthening unity among state structures.
It also became known that 75 politicians, including current and former officials, as well as representatives from culture and healthcare, sent an open letter requesting early elections. At this time, the president's administration has not commented on this appeal.
