A number of media outlets and social networks have reported that the special forces regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has allegedly been placed under the control of the President of Kyrgyzstan. However, this information is not true, as clarified by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The agency noted: "Reports that a corresponding decree has been signed have no basis and are inaccurate. The regiment continues its work as usual." The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to trust only official sources and to avoid spreading unverified information.

It is worth recalling that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree according to which Kamchybek Tashiev was relieved of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security. He was replaced by Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, who was appointed as the acting chairman of the SCNS. Three deputy chairmen of the SCNS were also dismissed, and new individuals took their places.
