“It is wrong to associate me with anyone”
Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu addressed the members of the Jogorku Kenesh, explaining his decision to resign from the position of speaker.
“Our parliamentary delegation returned from Turkey last night. The official visit was successful, and all meetings were held at a high level,” he reported.
According to him, political events occurred in Kyrgyzstan during his trip, and various opinions were expressed about him. “I do not serve one or two people. My work is aimed at the benefit of the Kyrgyz people and the parliament. It is wrong to associate me with anyone,” Turgunbek uulu added.
He emphasized that he was elected as the speaker of the seventh convocation in 2022 and continues his work, contributing to important decisions for the state.
“As of today, we observe political stability in the republic, which contributes to the development of the country and economic growth. This is the merit of President Sadyr Japarov's team and the parliament,” he noted.
To avoid conflicts and scandals, Turgunbek uulu made the decision to resign, emphasizing that this is his personal choice and no one pressured him.
“The country needs to be kept in a stable condition. The reforms initiated by the president must be completed. I ask you to consider my decision,” he concluded.
It is important to note that despite his decision to leave the position of speaker, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu remains a deputy.
