
The discussion of major infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan took place during the meeting.
Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with Zou Jia, the head of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, where the focus was on projects such as the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant and the railway line connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. This was reported by the president's press service.
During the conversation, Japarov emphasized that industrialization is a key direction of state policy. He noted the necessity of implementing projects with high added value, as well as modernizing the industrial sector and developing processing. In addition, the president pointed out the importance of addressing the issue of electricity shortages, making the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant and the upgrade of energy infrastructure strategically important tasks.
Issues related to transport logistics and road construction were also discussed.
Zou Jia emphasized that Kyrgyzstan occupies an important place as one of the founding countries of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and is considered a strategic partner. She confirmed the bank's readiness to continue financing existing projects and to consider new initiatives.
