At the beginning of the event, Kasymaliev congratulated Zou Jiayi on his election as President of the AIIB.
The head of the government noted that the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic has been demonstrating positive trends in recent years thanks to a comprehensive financial, fiscal, and monetary policy. The average economic growth over the past four years has been 10.2%.
Kasymaliev also reported on the successful implementation of 12 reforms under the Government Accelerators Program, aimed at addressing pressing issues. These changes were positively assessed by the international community at the World Government Summit held from February 2 to 5 in Dubai.
During the meeting, special attention was given to the energy sector. The head of the Cabinet emphasized that the construction project of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant promises significant economic, environmental, and social benefits.
Additionally, he highlighted the importance of constructing the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway as a key infrastructure project for the country.
Kasymaliev proposed to establish credit lines between the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and state banks to support priority sectors such as agriculture, solar energy, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The President of the AIIB, Zou Jiayi, in turn, expressed support for the economic growth of the Kyrgyz Republic and readiness to consider all possible options for contributing to this direction.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank regarding the project "Development of a Sustainable Financial Market for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic."
