Meat from Mongolia will be supplied to Kyrgyzstan

At today's meeting of the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, the draft law on the ratification of the temporary trade agreement between Mongolia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was approved in the first reading. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Choro Seitov presented this document, which was signed on June 27, 2025, in Minsk.

According to the deputy minister, the agreement includes mutual reduction of customs duties on 367 goods. This document is temporary and is set for three years, with the possibility of extension for another three-year period if all conditions are met by the parties.

During the discussion, deputies were interested in which goods fall under the preferential conditions, particularly inquiring about meat and beans. Choro Seitov confirmed that meat products are included in the list of preferential goods. He also noted that meat from Mongolia will be more affordable and expressed hope that the implementation of the agreement will have a positive impact on the market of Kyrgyzstan.

Additionally, the deputy minister clarified that the approved list of goods includes vegetables, fruits, beans, and various equipment.

As a result of the discussion, the deputies adopted the draft law in the first reading.
