According to Masaliev, the current situation requires serious reforms. He believes it is important to reduce the functions of the GKNB, leaving only its core tasks, and emphasized that the decision to transfer anti-corruption powers, whether through the creation of a new body or strengthening the role of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor's Office, lies within the President's competence.
The politician noted that the leadership of the GKNB has been renewed, and some employees are already under arrest. Deputy Prime Minister Baisalov also pointed to an increase in law violations and growing discontent among the population.
Masaliev's key proposal was the establishment of a special interdepartmental commission by presidential decree, which should conduct a thorough review of high-profile criminal cases investigated in recent years.
He emphasized: "It is necessary to review the high-profile criminal cases from the last five years. It would be appropriate for the president to establish an interdepartmental commission to examine these cases."
Masaliev understands that the results of such reviews may be unpredictable, but he believes it is necessary for the future of the country: "The results may surprise, but this step is important for both the people and the president."
