Former head of the GKNB department for Bishkek detained
The deputy revealed details of a scheme in which GKNB employees used the services of private auditors to conduct unnecessary inspections. According to him, they used the conclusions of these specialists, who only had advisory status, as a means of pressure on businesses.
“Relying on the conclusions of private auditors, the arrested employees accused entrepreneurs of causing harm to the state. Through threats and intimidation, they effectively robbed businessmen, forcing them to pay significant sums. This had nothing to do with legitimate state inspections or expertise,” noted Ismanali Joroev.
In addition, the deputy appealed to the business community to stop this practice. He emphasized that only the conclusions of the Audit Chamber or official state bodies could serve as the basis for any claims, urging the new leadership of the GKNB to take control of the situation.
