She noted that she had the opportunity to become familiar with the living conditions of the artists of the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater. According to her, many cultural figures with distinguished awards live in extremely difficult conditions and do not have their own housing.
Mavlyanova emphasized that the current incomes of actors do not even allow them to consider the possibility of obtaining a state mortgage.
“Some of these artists, such as Zhenish Smanov, Gulnara Satarova, Askar Kachkynbaev, Bakhtiyar Sharshenbaev, and Kanbolot Atakan uulu, still only possess the dream of having their own home. Interestingly, their salaries do not meet the requirements for obtaining mortgage housing at all. Actors who have worked for more than 25 years earn only between 12,000 and 22,000 soms. How can they live in such conditions?” the deputy remarked indignantly.
The deputy emphasized that the government should not only address the housing issues of artists and technical staff in theaters but also significantly increase their salaries. She urged her colleagues and the government to pay attention to this pressing problem.
