Some artists of the National Drama Theater named after Abdymomunov live in storage facilities
At a parliamentary meeting, Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova reported that several theater artists have been forced to live in storage facilities where the theater's technical equipment is kept for many years.
She also noted that she had the opportunity to personally assess their living conditions, which, according to her, are extremely difficult, especially considering the presence of small children among many of the artists.
“Looking at the roles they play in the theater, it is easy to understand the significant contribution they make to the development of culture,” the deputy added.
Mavlyanova pointed out that many actors are forced to constantly rent housing and frequently change their place of residence. Despite their work experience exceeding 20 years, the salaries of the artists do not exceed 22,000 soms.
In her opinion, it is necessary to address the housing conditions of theater workers at the state level. There are about 21 theaters operating in the country.
