She reported that she had been approached by activists of the women's movement who intend to hold this peaceful march in honor of International Women's Day.
“This event is aimed at raising important issues such as gender equality, women's rights, and the problems of violence. The participants plan to march from the Urkuye Salieva monument to Gorky Square. Mainly, women and girls will take part in the march, and I believe they should not be feared,” the deputy noted.
Surabaldiyeva also pointed out that provocations had occurred during similar events in the past. Therefore, she urged local authorities to create conditions for a safe celebration and to ensure escort from the State Traffic Safety Department.
