Wang Yi called the relationship between China and Russia an unshakeable support of a multipolar world

In 2026, China will actively develop its strategic partnership with Russia, despite global instability. This was announced by Wang Yi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, during a press conference held on March 8 in Beijing as part of the session of the National People's Congress. He emphasized the importance of bilateral relations in the year of their thirtieth anniversary, noting their resilience and reliability.

According to Wang Yi, "in any difficulties, whether social unrest or other crises, the ties between China and Russia remain strong and stable, like a rock. We operate in a 'back-to-back' format, which is the foundation of our partnership that is impervious to external pressures and provocations," the minister added.

The minister noted that the high level of political mutual trust between the two countries allows for effective coordination of actions on the most important issues of the international agenda, countering acts of unilateralism and aggression.
