Wang Yi rejected the concept of joint management of the world by China and the USA

On March 8, during a press conference in Beijing held as part of the session of the National People's Congress, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi officially rejected the idea of a "great power duo" for managing global processes.

The minister emphasized that the history of the world should be created through the joint efforts of all 190 countries, rather than a limited group of great powers.

"China does not intend to follow the path of hegemony paved by other states and rejects the logic of 'joint management by great powers.' Our country, regardless of changes in the international situation and its level of development, does not seek hegemony or expansion," Wang Yi noted.

As an alternative, he proposed the concept of a multipolar world, in which all states would be equal, and adherence to the UN Charter would be mandatory for all. At the same time, great powers should demonstrate respect for the law and serve as an example for others.
