Irina Karamushkina asked Sadyr Japarov for clemency
As Alymkulov clarified, Karamushkina is also insisting on being released from further punishment, urging the president to show mercy to her as the only woman caught up in this case. The lawyer emphasized that the former deputy refers to her retirement age and her desire to spend more time with her family, including her grandchildren and elderly mother.
It should be noted that in November 2025, Karamushkina was transferred to women's colony No. 2 to serve her sentence. She was found guilty in a case related to the events in Koi-Tash and voter bribery, receiving a punishment of eight years in prison.
Karamushkina has experience working in the Jogorku Kenesh, where she represented the SDPK for several terms.
