At that time, all three had returned from Kazakhstan. During the investigation, it was established that security forces stopped their Lexus LX570 immediately after crossing the border and took them to a dacha located outside Bishkek. There, according to the investigation data, Sadyrkulov, Sleptchenko, and Sulaymanov were killed, and their bodies were burned in the car on the roadside near the village of Koy-Tash, which was disguised as a traffic accident.
After the overthrow of Bakiev's regime, a new investigation began, during which it was established that the organizer of the crime was the ex-president's brother — Janysh Bakiev, who at that time held the position of chairman of the State Guard Service.

In 2012, a trial took place, during which seven defendants received various prison sentences. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the executor of the murder was athlete and kickboxing champion Sanjar Adylbekov, who, however, did not appear in court. In 2011, he and other suspects were placed on the international wanted list through Interpol. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on November 26, 2021, Saparbekov was detained, and on November 27, he was placed in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
The investigation into Saparbekov's case has been completed, and it has been transferred to the Alamedin District Court. The widows of the murdered acted as victims: Aina Gul Sadyrkulova, Elena Sleptchenko, and Sulaymanov's sister — Chynara Sulaymanova.
At the court session, Saparbekov did not admit his guilt. On November 18, 2022, Judge Bekbolot Janaliev found him guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in prison.
- The text of the court decision can be found here.
At present, Saparbekov is also a defendant in the case of the murder of criminal authority Chyngyz "Doo" Jumagulov, while being in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
Excerpts from the indictment against Saparbekov:
At 02:27 on March 13, then-chairman of the State Border Service Zamir Moldoshev [in 2012 was convicted of concealing a crime and abuse of office, he was sentenced to 5 years in prison — ed. note] informed Janysh Bakiev that Sadyrkulov and his companions had arrived in Kyrgyzstan. In turn, Bakiev reported this to his assistant Takhir Rysaliev [who is wanted — ed. note]. According to the indictment, Moldoshev acted on the criminal instructions of Kurmanbek Bakiev.
Takhir Rysaliev. Also wanted since 2011
Former special forces fighter "Alpha" Bakyt Baizhanov, convicted for complicity in murder and kidnapping, was sentenced to 15 years in prison but has already been released — ed. note]. He changed into a traffic police uniform and at 02:35 stopped the Lexus LX570 with the number B1595R in the village of Lenin, Alamedin District. The driver was Sulaymanov, and the passengers were Sadyrkulov and Sleptchenko. Captain of the State Guard Service Marat Turdukulov [convicted for exceeding authority, received 18 years in prison, and is currently also free — ed. note] with an AKS-74 automatic weapon, threatening with a gun, forced the driver to exit the vehicle and illegally searched him.
He then handed Sulaymanov over to Aibek Abdyrazakov [wanted since 2011, it became known that he lives in Belarus under the name Aydin Adylov — ed. note], who found two Motorola mobile phones with the driver.

Abdyrazakov seized the phones and directed the driver to Ergeshbek Matkaiymov [convicted for complicity in murder and kidnapping, sentenced to 15 years in prison — ed. note]. The latter handcuffed Sulaymanov and handed him over to Rustam Saiduev [a close associate of Janysh Bakiev, who is wanted. In 2010, he fled to Belarus, and according to known information from 2015, he has a passport of a Belarusian citizen and changed his name to Dementyev Alexander Romanovich — ed. note]. Saiduev placed Sulaymanov in the back seat of a BMW 740 with the number B0482J, owned by Rysaliev.

Saiduev and Matkaiymov pressed the driver in the car, which headed to the village of Kok-Zhar, to house No. 80 on Konur Osmon Street.
Janysh Bakiev arrived at the scene in an official Toyota Land Cruiser 200, driven by driver Altynbek Amrakulov, and guarded by State Guard Service employees.
Janysh Bakiev ordered his guards to stay at the gate, while he entered the house. He began to beat Sadyrkulov, insulting him and accusing him of opposition actions aimed at overthrowing Kurmanbek Bakiev's power.
However, his cruelty did not end there. Using a stun gun, he began to torture Sadyrkulov, who, despite pleading for mercy, lost consciousness from the pain.
After that, Janysh turned his attention to Sleptchenko, Sadyrkulov's friend, considering him an accomplice. He was also beaten until he lost consciousness.
At approximately 03:35, Janysh Bakiev ordered Saparbekov, Turdukulov, and Abdyrazakov to kill Sadyrkulov and Sleptchenko, stating: "Finish them off."
Saparbekov strangled Sadyrkulov, while his friend did the same with Sleptchenko. Both were unconscious at the time of death. The driver Sulaymanov was also killed.
At 03:42, Janysh Bakiev called the deputy head of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs Nurlan Temirbaev [in 2012 found guilty of concealing a crime but released from punishment due to amnesty — ed. note] and ordered him to "clean up the house" to destroy evidence. Other participants in the crime loaded the bodies of the murdered into the Lexus and wrapped them in tape. Part of them remained in the house to clean up the traces.
Turdukulov drove the Lexus and headed to the "Warm Springs" resort, following Janysh in his official car. Aibek Abdyrazakov and Saparbekov with a friend went in the BMW. Near the village of Besh-Kunghey, Turdukulov heard the moans of Sleptchenko and Sulaymanov, after which he stopped the SUV. Saparbekov and his friends got out of the BMW and delivered finishing blows to all three with stones, and then returned to the car.
At approximately 04:10, they arrived at the "Wolf Gates" area [south side of the village of Koy-Tash]. At this time, Omurbek Osmonov arrived at the scene in an Audi 100 with the number S1721O, sent by criminal authority Almanbet Anapiyaev [killed in 2015 in Minsk — ed. note].
He was shown how to simulate a traffic accident. Osmonov, accelerating, crashed into the Lexus parked on the roadside. Then the front part of the Audi and the interior of the Lexus, where the bodies of Sadyrkulov, Sleptchenko, and Sulaymanov were located, were doused with gasoline and set on fire. They attempted to push the vehicles into a ravine, but the strong fire prevented them from completing their plan.
