During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the field of motorboating and the possibility of holding competitions under the auspices of UIM in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of UIM's readiness to hold the world championship in the country, noting that Kyrgyzstan is actively developing international ties in the fields of sports, tourism, and the organization of major events.
The president also mentioned that there are two international airports operating in the Issyk-Kul region — in Karakol and Tamchy, which welcome tourists. High-class hotels, including five-star and seven-star establishments, are actively being built along the lake's shore.
Raffaele Chiulli, for his part, spoke about the World Cup, which represents an international festival of motorboating. Its program includes the world championship for F1H2O class boat racing, as well as demonstration performances of jet skiing, motor surfing, and hydro-flying.
He added that similar competitions have already been held in countries such as China, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam. Race broadcasts reach over 86 countries, with a total audience exceeding 900 million viewers.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties concluded that holding the UIM F1H2O World Cup on water in Central Asia would showcase the tourism potential of Issyk-Kul and would be an important step in promoting Kyrgyzstan's national brand on the international stage.
