On March 14, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, met with Raffaele Chiulli, the President of the International Union of Powerboating (UIM). The press service of the President's Administration reported this event.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the field of powerboating and the possibility of organizing competitions under the auspices of UIM on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the union's readiness to hold the world championship in the country is a significant achievement. In recent years, Kyrgyzstan has been actively developing international partnerships in the field of sports and tourism, as well as participating in the organization of major events.

The President also noted the presence of two international airports in the Issyk-Kul region — in Karakol and Tamchy, which welcome tourists. In addition, luxurious five-star and seven-star hotels are being built along the shores of the lake.

Raffaele Chiulli, for his part, noted that the World Cup is a grand festival of powerboating, including the world championship for F1H2O class boat racing, as well as exhibition races for jet skiing, motor surfing, and flyboarding.

He added that previously, competitions were held in countries such as China, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam. Water racing is one of the most spectacular sports, with broadcasts reaching over 86 countries and an audience of more than 900 million viewers.

At the end of the meeting, both interlocutors expressed confidence that holding the UIM F1H2O World Cup in Central Asia would not only showcase the tourist potential of Issyk-Kul but also help promote the national brand on the international stage.
