On January 22, a traditional annual reception for representatives of the diplomatic corps was held in Bishkek, organized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the republic.

During his speech, Jeenbek Kulubaev summarized the results of the country's foreign policy activities and raised the issue of Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for the United Nations Security Council.

“We have put forward our candidacy for the position of a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the years 2027-2028. The elections will take place on June 3 in New York, and we plan to make every effort to gain support and votes from our friends and partners. We sincerely hope for your support in our right to be elected to this authoritative international body. Unfortunately, not all the heads of missions present here expressed support for our candidacy,” the minister noted.

He also emphasized the importance of interacting with each diplomat to achieve positive responses from their centers.
