At a press conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev summarized the activities of the ministry for 2025.
He noted that throughout the year, the Ministry continued to follow the course of a multi-vector foreign policy aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
“Last year was a time of active diplomatic activity for our country. We worked simultaneously on several important areas: completing long negotiations on the state border, implementing the chairmanship in the CSTO and SCO, and starting our chairmanship in the SCO, as well as expanding the number of international partners,” the minister added.
According to Kulubaev, in 2025, the number of bilateral and multilateral meetings significantly increased. A total of about 190 meetings and visits were held: about 60 of them took place in Kyrgyzstan, and 130 abroad.
The minister emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and China reached a new level of strategic partnership by 2025. As a result of two visits by the country's president to China, 33 bilateral agreements were signed. Also, as Kulubaev pointed out, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia transitioned from a friendship status to a comprehensive partnership.
One of the main achievements of the republic's foreign policy, the minister called the successfully resolved issue of the state border.
