At the press conference dedicated to the results of 2025, Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, emphasized that the past year was a time of active diplomatic activity. Under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov, the country pursued a pragmatic and multi-vector policy aimed at strengthening ties both with its Central Asian neighbors and with more distant partners. The minister noted that one of the main achievements of the year was the successful resolution of border issues, which represents a historic breakthrough for national security.

According to statistical data, the dynamics of foreign policy work were high: President Japarov made 25 foreign trips, three of which were official and state visits. The total number of bilateral and multilateral meetings significantly increased — about 190, of which 130 took place outside the country. It is particularly important to highlight the development of relations with Beijing, where, after two presidential visits to China, 33 new agreements were signed, elevating cooperation to a new strategic level. There was also a qualitative strengthening of dialogue with Mongolia, leading to the formation of a comprehensive partnership.

Kyrgyzstan's active participation in international platforms became an important aspect of work in 2025. The country successfully combined its presidency in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the CSTO, and also began to fulfill its duties as chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). In 2026, the ministry plans to focus on the development of economic diplomacy and the protection of citizens' interests abroad, continuing constructive dialogue with key global players.
