In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, police officers detained a man suspected of extorting money. According to the Department of Internal Affairs of the October District, the arrest occurred at the moment the man was receiving 80 thousand soms.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 208, Part 1 (Extortion) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A citizen named B.D. contacted law enforcement, reporting that he had received threats from unknown individuals demanding 150 thousand rubles. They claimed that this amount was related to a debt of his girlfriend. B.D. asked the police to intervene.
During operational investigative activities, law enforcement officers identified the suspect, a citizen named Ch.T., born in 1994. He was detained at the moment he was receiving the money he extorted from the victim. The suspect is currently held in a temporary detention facility.
